The Inaugural Meeting of the Massachusetts Chapter of the New England Nanotechnology Association (NENA) was held this morning in Boston. (May 7, 2013)  NENA is a newly-formed industry group for individuals and entities interested in the successful and responsible development of nanotechnology innovation, commercialization and economic growth across New England.

The program was hosted by the law firm Prince Lobel, and speakers included William Rogers, a partner at the firm; Brent Segal from Lockheed, Ben Schlatka from MC10, and Eric Nakajima from Commonwealth of Massachusetts Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development. About 40 people attended the program, including representatives from large corporations, entrepreneurial businesses, academic and research institutions, government agencies and service providers (law firms, consultants, etc).

A LinkedIn group was created in March to facilitate networking and information exchange.  To join, please go to LinkedIn and do a search of groups for the name (New England Nanotechnology).
